UNI-TOUCH®, the Unimog implement carrier's new operating system, has been stripped down to the essentials and intuitively designed. All elements are arranged ergonomically and space-saving, while new comfort features make it easier to operate. Working with the Unimog has never been easier. The multifunction steering wheel allows for a perfect grip and offers a clear view of the large and bright instrument cluster display. There, important information such as the oil level, air pressure and settings of the hydraulics system can be displayed. Driving functions such as changing gear, actuating the engine brake (on the right) and the EasyDrive synergetic traction drive system (on the left) are integrated in the steering column controls. The new central control unit from UNI-TOUCH® makes it very easy to control the attachments with clever switching elements such as rocker switches, adjustment wheels and memory buttons. It can be moved sideways as well as forwards and backwards to adapt to a wide range of needs, such as when switching the driver’s side in conjunction with the VarioPilot transferable steering system.

This is electromotive steering power assistance that reduces steering force and thereby enhances ergonomics as well as ride comfort. The system works speed-dependent adapted to the respective driving situation. Comfort steering thereby creates a variable steering feel adapted to the driving situation. Even with heavy front-mounted implements and bulky tyres.

A removable multifunction joystick can be found in the centre console allowing the operator to control both vehicle speed and implements. It is also used to operate the synchronised Electronic Quick Reverse (EQR) reversing group.

Those spending longer periods of time in the new cab will appreciate the efficient air-conditioning and heating system: regardless of the weather, it ensures comfortable temperatures in the vehicle. Whilst, in winter, the heated seat function can be switched on. To allow work to start punctually there is a programmable auxiliary heating system. Heated windows and mirrors ensure clear vision right from the start.
