The electronic parking brake with HOLD function combines simpler handling, greater comfort and a higher level of safety. Trailer Stability Assist provides additional safety: It provides preventive stabilisation of trailers/semitrailers in potentially critical driving situations through moderate braking.

A high-resolution colour display replaces the conventional instrument cluster and provides a clear display of all driving and vehicle information. It is supplemented by the multi-touch display in the instrument panel on the right. Two USB-C ports enable the connection of mass storage devices, charging with up to 5 V/3 A as well as the connection of two mobile devices for hands-free operation via dual Bluetooth. The smartphone integration Apple CarPlay and Android Auto is also possible.
Traffic Sign Assist2022, 287.
The optional assistance system aids the driver in recognising certain traffic signs in real-time, displays up to two of them in the instrument cluster simultaneously and thus makes for greater safety. Furthermore it informs the driver when, for example, the speed limit is exceeded.
Predictive Powertrain Control.
Predictive Powertrain Control links the vehicle’s GPS data with precise digital 3D maps, thereby detecting upcoming uphill and downhill gradients on the road and optimising gearshift times, gearshift jumps, cruise control speed and EcoRoll phases on this basis. The system also includes curves, junctions and the speed limits stored in the map data and reacts accordingly. In combination with the precisely coordinated gearshift strategy, this enables fuel savings of up to 5 %1066.

Unlike mirrors, the optional MirrorCam is optimally protected against dirt and optimises both the aerodynamics and visibility in the area of the A-pillars. Automatically brightens/darkens the display in poor lighting conditions. Guidelines on the display and a special manoeuvring view help to estimate distances. Reduced vehicle width compared to conventional mirrors. The entire trailer remains in the field of vision when cornering.

Sideguard Assist248, 2020 and Active Sideguard Assist248 can assist the driver when turning or changing lanes by detecting moving and stationary objects in the warning zone on the right or in the tracking pattern in certain situations201, 211 and providing visual and audible warnings for the driver.
